(SIC) Redux

Yesterday I posted a number of anonymous online comments relating to Goose Gate highlighting the state of public discourse in this country. These were as sad as they were popular so I’m adding more from the last 24 hours. Enjoy and remember that they are all unedited, hence the (SIC).
“Is the Reverend going to complain because he doesn’t like the skin color or ethnic appearance of other people at the beach during one of his Sea Side Church services?”
“The problem now is the towns about-face on this because of the rantings of the good Reverand, who is trying to ban hunting where he wants it to be banned. His own adgenda and damn the rights of others…”
“Looks like this ‘Reverend’ is no stranger to the press and is riding on a media horse of his own creation. Is it just me or could we possibly have a David Koresh in the making?”
“Let those Baptist worship amongst the goose crap!”

“Churchgoers need to pray in a church, NOT on a beach! What if a woman in a small bikini walked by? Oh the horror!”

No offense, but you can’t be all that media savvy. You mixed issues (horrified children and safety), which confused the message amongst a certain segment of the population.
Not that this segment would want to get the story right. But it does help with those that can be persuaded.
Tim – After reading those comments, my opinion of the human race has plummetted (like a dead goose!) Thank God for your sense of humour!

Amusing but also truly disturbing to behold the depth of rage and ignorance. But hey, things could be much worse: if you were a Roman Catholic priest, just imagine what would be added to the garbled vitriol.
I am sorry to say I’m not surprised. Threaten the holy right of gun ownership and use, and you can expect all kinds of crap to rain down upon you. Symptomatic of a truly sick society. Sorry you have to live under an umbrella for a while.
