Lent Madness 2010: The Bracket

LENT MADNESS 2010

As I recently announced, our Lent Madness 2010 “Saintly Smackdown” will begin soon. Click to open a pdf of the complete tournament bracket: Lent Madness 2010

Round One will begin in earnest in the next day or two. Fill out your bracket, call your bookie, or just enjoy learning some facts about a few (32 to be precise) saints in the Church Calendar.

  1. Can’t wait to see how Richard Hooker fares. Please check spelling of “Aidan” — I guess I’m a little sensitive about this detail, having been Vicar of a St Aidan’s.
Thanks — now I have new stats to follow besides NASCAR.

  2. Holy Athanasius! You’re correct! Good eye!

  3. No St. Patrick? What’s that all about ??

  4. If it makes you feel better, there’s no St. Timothy either. Perhaps next year they go head-to-head?

  5. I would assume that, since this involves Christianity and the saints, to win everything, you must actually lose everything while being faithful. Job is the prototype victor. Pulling it out during sudden-death overtime is not accepted.

Knowing that could change how you do your brackets.
